Sustainability works, Horsham

Horsham, West Sussex

Statutory bodies

Working closely with Horsham District Council, Bramber were employed to undertake two sustainability pilots to 10 flats at Fiennes Court and a three bedroom house in Horsham.

The refurbishment works were funded by the Government’s Green Deal scheme and included:

  • Cavity wall insulation.
  • Energy efficient PVC windows.
  • Energy efficiencies replacement front doors.
  • Solar panels.

Importantly, the works also required the isolation of each flat central heating from the communal heating system, this was to enable each resident at Fiennes Court to adjust as well as pay for their own heating, thereby minimising heat loss than can be created by a centrally controlled thermostat / system.

In addition, we installed new bathrooms and a wet room for one flat for specific adapted use.
