Situated in Hove, Knoll House provides personal care and support for adults with a physical disability, as well as short–term care to elderly patients recovering following discharge from hospital.
Bramber Construction were employed by local authority Brighton and Hove City Council to create bigger, brighter, more modern facilities incorporating an extension to the property.
Level access, disabled bathrooms and facilities, lifts, plus extensive refurbishment to the building created a bright new building to support the residents for the duration of their stay. Installation of practical and hygienic surfaces ensure the building can easily be maintained ensuring a safe clinical environment for a full patient recovery.
Key successes of the project were:
- Extension to create support for 20 residents
- Clinical surfaces to enable ease of cleaning regimes
- Refurbishment to the existing buildings
- New mechanical and electrical installations
